Business Dashboard
An AI business dashboard built around your Sage accounts and the spreadsheets you already keep, so you can see how the business is actually doing on one screen.
The problem
Your numbers exist. They are just in four places.
The accounts are in Sage. The job tracker is a spreadsheet on someone's desktop. Timesheets arrive as a CSV every Monday. The pipeline lives in a workbook the sales lead updates when he remembers.
Every one of those is fine on its own. The trouble starts when you want to answer a question that crosses them. Which jobs are eating the margin. Whether you can afford the van in October. Whether the team is busy or just looks busy.
Answering that takes someone half a day of copying and pasting, and by the time it is done the numbers have moved.
We build the dashboard around your actual data. It reads your accounts through the Sage API and takes the spreadsheets you already keep. You drag the file in. It maps the columns, matches the records, and puts everything on one screen. No new system to learn, and no asking the team to work differently. The spreadsheets stay exactly as they are. It reads. It does not write back to your accounts.
You get a live AI business dashboard for your company, not a generic demo. We start with a Sage export and the two or three spreadsheets you rely on, and you see your own numbers in the first week. Fixed price, quoted once we have seen the data. No licence, no seats, and no monthly fee unless you want us to keep hosting and maintaining it.
Overview gives you eight numbers that tell you whether this is a good week: revenue against target, gross margin, cash at bank, debtor days, active jobs, on-time delivery, utilisation and weighted pipeline. Underneath, a list of things that need a decision, each one tagged with where it came from. Finance shows profit and loss against last year, gross margin by month, aged debt by customer, and a rolling cash forecast that shows the low point before you reach it. Operations shows utilisation by team, on-time delivery, and every active job with its margin against the margin you quoted. Sales shows pipeline by stage, weighted against your real win rate, with the gap to target next to it.
Click gross margin and you get the monthly build, the four drivers moving it, and the arithmetic behind each one. Click a job and you get its commercial position against tender. Click a customer and you get the ageing and the last contact note.
Every panel is tagged with its source. Select a source and the screen shows you everything it feeds. That matters more than it sounds. The reason most dashboards get quietly abandoned is that someone challenges a figure, nobody can say where it came from, and trust goes. If you can point at the Sage nominal code or the row in the spreadsheet, the argument ends in ten seconds.
It does not replace Sage. It does not replace your spreadsheets. It does not need your team to change how they work, and it will not send anyone a notification. It reads your systems. It does not write back.
Owner-managed businesses between roughly ten and a hundred staff, where the numbers are good enough to run on but scattered enough that nobody looks at them weekly. If you already have a full ERP, you do not need this. If you already have a finance director producing a monthly pack you trust, you probably do not need it either, though several of them use it to cut the pack from three days to one.
We start with your actual data, not a demo dataset. From there it is a short cycle of showing you a screen, you telling us what is wrong or missing, and us changing it. Most builds settle after three or four rounds.
Questions about an AI business dashboard
- Can you build an AI dashboard for my business?
- Yes. We build an AI business dashboard around your Sage accounts and the spreadsheets you already use, so management information sits on one screen without a new system for the team.
- Does the dashboard replace Sage or our spreadsheets?
- No. It reads your accounts through the Sage API and the files you already keep. It does not write back, and it does not ask the team to work differently.
- How do you connect Sage and spreadsheet data?
- Sage comes through the API. Spreadsheets are dragged in, columns are mapped, and records are matched so finance, jobs, timesheets and pipeline can be read together.
- Who is a business dashboard for?
- Owner-managed businesses of roughly ten to a hundred staff whose numbers are reliable but scattered. If you already run a full ERP, you do not need this.
